Meta will focus on fake things to control from increasing trend of AI-generated fake news these days, WhatsApp has also decided to update with a new feature to identify it and warn you against fake trends. This update is helpful for the other social media apps. 

With its update, it will go a long way in stopping the spreading of rumors in the country and will also create awareness about the country among the citizens. Meta will soon add a ChatBox on WhatsApp to fight this fake and AI-generated content. 

This chat box will help to fix the unknown news and fakes via this update. The users easily get the filter and the right news; it will also identify and block the fake IDs. 

It has collaborated with the Misinformation Combat Alliance to launch a WhatsApp helpline for Indian users to report and complain about fake news. This update will be available for all languages, and you can enjoy it starting in March 2024.

Even before this, the company has released many updates in which many things for iOS, colors, status, and web were included, and now the company is trying to stop these fake things. The government of India also wants to reduce this news. 

The initiative will follow an approach with four main objectives, which are detection, prevention, reporting, and driving awareness. Even before this, the company had made several efforts to stop this. Following WhatsApp, it decided to enabled AI-generated images and videos on Facebook, Instagram, and threads, which may go a long way in curbing the spread of fake AI-generated content.
