Google is this close to its official launch of the Pixel 8 Series. According to reports, the company has decided to announce its new Pixel at the Hardware Event this fall. The big update regarding this latest upcoming Pixel 8 series, which consists of two models, Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, is that Google is preparing to revamp the well-known Google Camera app with a new User Interface.

What’s New In Pixel 8 Series’s Google Camera –

Google decided to give amazing and exciting new improvements and features the convenience of users to its camera app. If the reports are to be believed, Google Pixel 8 series gets a revamped interface; for instance, now it separates photos and video modes, gives more power to controls, offers more modes and streamlines stabilisation.

Settings –

The settings pill, which was present at the top of the screen, now gets replaced at the bottom left corner except by clicking the settings sheet, which stays unchanged primarily and still displays at the top. Now users can open it with just a swipe-up gesture. The black strip now offers high-level photos and a video switcher at the bottom bar by the side of the settings icon.

New Modes –

This revamped UI of the Pixel camera featuring various modes which will enhance the user’s photos capturing experience are mentioned below;

  • Action Pan
  • Long Exposure
  • Photo
  • Night Sight
  • Panorama

New modes for videos are as follows:

  • Pan
  • Blur
  • Slow Motion
  • Time Lapse
  • Video’s stability is replaced in the settings menu along with Standard, Locked & Active options.

Now with the new UI, the camera switch button gets replaced on the right side. Plus, in the last shot preview at the left, the zoom switcher also shifts towards above the shutter button. Meanwhile, the rest of the slides stay the same.

Apart from these changes, the brand is also preparing for Staggered HDR, which increases the speed of the capture process. Additionally, Segmentation AWB applies different processing to choose parts of the scenario, which helps make it extra accurate. The facility of Adaptive touch will also be available, which will prevent overexposed shots and improve low-light photography through fine-tuning flash intensity depending on the scenario.
