Last year, in the month of July, Samsung introduced its latest premium flagship lineup, the Galaxy S24 series, consisting of the S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, respectively. All these models have arrived with some great functionalities and the most advanced features that significantly enhance the overall experience of the users. It is a matter of fact that the Korean smartphone maker has already begun working on the next flagship series, the Galaxy S25. In contrast, although the current premium Galaxy S24 Ultra has arrived with some advanced features, is it the same case with the upcoming S24 Ultra? Here are all the rumors and leaks as of now.
Ahead of any latest smartphone launch, there is a long series of leaks and rumors. Such is the case with Samsung’s latest and upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra. It’s been a while since people have been witnessing numerous leaks and rumors regarding the S25 Ultra model, suggesting a small hint towards the phone’s design, display, chipset, and camera, certainly. Also, it’s important to note that all the information mentioned below is just some leaks and rumors, and Samsung hasn’t confirmed any of them as of now.
All Rumors and Leaks Till Now
First off, a source disclosed that Samsung has been working on the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s design with four prototype options. However, every prototype is different from one another, but very slightly. The only difference that could be seen in each prototype image was their frames and super-slim bezels. Samsung brought up the Galaxy S24 Ultra with a titanium frame, so it’s expected that the upcoming S25 Ultra might come with the same titanium frame. Despite that, the phone might arrive with similar boxy edges with no rounded corners, along with a similar camera module setup at the back.
With respect to the display screen, Samsung is considered to incorporate the best display screen within its smartphones across the globe. The brand has incorporated the current S24 Ultra with new Gorilla Armour glass, which is meant to enhance visibility and also reduce reflections when watching the screen in bright sunlight. So it’s likely that the next S25 Ultra could come with similar armor glass protection.
In contrast, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip is considered the most powerful and fastest chipset developed by Qualcomm, while Samsung has shipped the current S24 Ultra with this chipset. On the flip side, coming to the upcoming S25 Ultra, it’s likely that Samsung could upgrade the processor with the arrival of the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset for its next flagship S25 Ultra.
In terms of the cameras, it’s unlikely that Samsung could change the camera hardware other than performing some minor refinements within the S25 Ultra, but overall the phone will arrive with similar camera hardware as the current S24 Ultra, as there’s no official word on the camera setup of the upcoming S25 Ultra. On the flip side, a random leak revealed that the ultrawide sensor of the S25 Ultra might get upgraded from 12 MP (in the current S24 Ultra model) to a straight 50 MP.
Moreover, Samsung has reserved its current Galaxy S24 series for seven generations of software updates; it’s possible that the upcoming S25 series, including the S25 Ultra, could come with similar software updates.
