Galaxy Z Flip Is Now Receiving Its Last Major Android Update

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 update for its 2022 flagship foldable: the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4. Then, this update was released for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3. Now, it is the turn of the company’s entire 2020 product portfolio, consisting of the original Galaxy Z Flip, to receive the latest Android build.

The first Galaxy Z Flip smartphone was launched in early 2020. It was one of three Galaxy devices eligible for the major Android OS upgrade and four years of security patches. Furthermore, the device has received three major Android updates since the Z Flip launched on Android 10 and is currently on Android 13. And now, the Galaxy Z Flip is getting what will be its last One UI version update, the One UI 5.1.1.

One UI 5.1.1 Features

The One UI 5.1.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip smartphone in some Asia and European countries comes with new features and enhancements to Flex Mode, Multi-Window, Gallery, Samsung Health, Hotspot, and Bluetooth.

In addition, the latest August 2023 Android security patch has been installed in the update to improve system security. This patch fixes some issues related to Galaxy apps and services. As per the official description, the latest security firmware fixes over 70 vulnerabilities found in the phone and tablet.

For your information, the build number of One UI 5.1.1 firmware for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip LTE is F700FXXUDKWH7, and the build number of Galaxy Z Flip 5G is F707BXXUAKWH7. Notably, it will not be offered on Samsung’s top flagship phones, such as the Galaxy S23, S22, Galaxy S21 series, and selected Galaxy A series devices.
