Truecaller is a smartphone application which provides several features, including caller identification, call blocking, call recording, chat and voice and many more. Here in this article, we are sharing information about how you can record calls using Truecaller.
As per the official confirmation by Truecaller, the Company is reintroducing the Call Recording feature in Android and iOS devices. The Company informed us that this feature only applies to premium users in the United States, and maybe later, this feature will come to non-premium users and additional countries as well.
Call Recording Feature:
Truecaller has restored the feature of Call Recording for premium users. This feature is available for Android and iOS devices. This feature lets users record incoming and outgoing calls directly from the Truecaller app.
For your information, this call recording feature was first introduced in 2018 on Android for premium users, but later it expanded to non-premium users as well. Call recording is done with the help of a service called cloud telephony provider, but the company has clarified that any call recording data will not be stored in the cloud, and everything will be stored in the device locally.
Moreover, Truecaller also confirmed that the soft Beep Sound would notify the person on the other end, denoting the call is being recorded for additional security. Additionally, Truecaller will provide more improvements to this feature, including an AI-Generated recording summary and a short call title.
How to start Call Recording on Android with Truecaller?
Here are a few steps about how you can start recording a call with Truecaller-
- Open the Truecaller App on your phone, and open its Dialer.
- There you will see a Call Recording button.
- Tap and get Started.
How to start recording a call on iPhone with Truecaller?
Here are the few steps with which you can start to record a call using Truecaller on your iPhone-
For Incoming calls:
First launch the Truecaller app, then tap on the Record a Call button. Now press “Call a Recording Line” and tap Merge the calls.
For Outgoing Calls:
If you want to record outgoing calls, the process is slightly different from recording incoming calls. For this, now open the Truecaller app. Here, tap on the Call the recording line and Tap on the Add call + option. Now Select a contact or dial the number you want to call and finally tap on the Merge Call option.
