The new functionality has been spotted with the latest WhatsApp beta for Android, bearing the 2.24.9.14 build version. This new feature adds a layer of convenience, eliminating the need to manually check who is currently online at the moment.
It’s important to note that the latest feature of WhatsApp doesn’t offer a comprehensive list that shows all your online contacts but rather displays a limited number of contacts that are recently active, especially when you are trying to place a call with them. This certainly helps in enhancing the communication experience with some optimizations.
Another important highlight of this newest functionality is that- by prioritizing user privacy, WhatsApp will not display those contacts within the recent online contacts list who have disabled their last seen or online, providing more privacy as always.
