Realme shipped 25 million smartphones in 2019, Double in 2020

The founder and CEO of the company, Sky Li, revealed Realme shipped 25 million smartphones in 2019 globally and the ambitious plans of the brand – to ship twice as many phones in 2020 compared with 2019.

Realme pushed 25 million smartphones in 2019, meaning the plans for 2020 are 50 million units to be distributed. This will be achieved by introducing devices with impressive features at aggressive prices, combined with the expected market growth caused by the 5G network deployment.

Stating that “from 2020, realme will fully penetrate into 5G in the Chinese market and no longer launch 4G mobile phone products.” Instead, it will be “leapfrog” into 5G and will support 5G networks from a thousand yuan entry to the high-end flagship.
