Honor X50 GT Confirmed To Launch: Details Revealed

The successor to the Honor X40 GT from Chinese tech brand Honor is opening for pre-order today. Finally, here it is after much buzz and anticipation. It’s also known as the Honor X50GT. Raul Wei Xiaolong, the product manager of GT-series products at the company, has just confirmed its name on Weibo.

Xiaolong assured us that the new device would not disappoint and hinted at a launch soon. This announcement comes after the strong response to July of that year’s Honor X50.

It isn’t yet clear whether Honor will announce the X50 GT in conjunction with the Magic 6 series on January 10 and January 11, but some speculate that it may be a rebadged version of the upcoming Honor X50 Pro. Chinese leaks indicate that the X50 Pro has a curved-edge OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and 429 ppi pixel density, among other things. Fine-tuned with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 platform, it will feature a large 5,800mAh battery capable of up to 35W fast charging.

The X50 Pro will be running on Android 14 and Magic OS 7.2, with substantial memory (at least 16 GB of RAM) and storage options (up to a billion TBs). The device will be available in black and green color versions. Pricing remains undisclosed, but more information about the Honor X50 GT is expected to be announced in the next few days.
