MediaTek is a fabless semiconductor brand which provides chips for wireless communications, high-definition television and many more. Now, the brand is debuting the “Dimensity 8300 chipset.”

Mediatek finally launched the Dimesity 8300 chipset, which is a power-efficient chipset specially designed for premium 5G smartphones.

The SoC provides generative AI capabilities, high-end gaming technology and enough fast connectivity. It seems that the chip will power 5G devices launching in the global tech market by the end of 2023.

MediaTek introduced the Dimensity 8300 chipset, which is based on TSMC’s 2nd generation 4nm process. Jumping on the cores features an octa-core CPU with four Arm Cortex-A715 cores.

It has four Cortex-A510 cores built on Arm’s latest v9 CPU architecture. However, the brand also assures that the latest innovation of the Dimensity 8000 SoC series, named Dimesity 8300, will offer 20% faster CPU performance along with 30% peak gains in power efficiency as compared to the previous variant chipset.

The brand packs it with Mali-G615 MC6 GPU, and the brand states that it will provide up to 60% greater performance and 55% better power efficiency.

MediaTek Dimensity 8300 has arrived with exclusive generative AI support facilitated by the APU 780 AI processor integrated within the chipset. Whereas the APU 780 features a similar architecture as the flagship Dimensity 9300, the SoC offers a 3.3x boost in AI performance over the Dimensity 8200.

It also features MediaTek’s 14-bit HDR-ISP Imagiq 980 for photography as well as videography. In short this is the advanced chipset with exclusive generative AI, for high-end gaming, offering advanced power savings enhancements and many more.
