Samsung Galaxy S9 series got the December 2021 security update in the US

Samsung started to release their latest January 2022 earlier this month. The Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 was one of the first ones to get this update. Now Samsung is releasing it to other countries and regions as well. But there are still a small amount of Galaxy devices that are yet to get the December 2021 security update. Well, Samsung Galaxy S9 series was one of them.

But now the Galaxy S9 series is also getting the December 2021 security update through carrier network Verizon. The series includes Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. The December 2021 security update comes with the firmware version G960USQU9FULI for the Galaxy S9 and G965USQU9FULI for the Galaxy S9+.

The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ users can now update their device with the December 2021 security update following the steps written below:

Menu key – Settings – About phone – Software updates – Check for Updates – Download and Install update

This December 2021 security update provides performance improvements and the most up to date Android security patches on your device. This update has been tested to optimize device performance, resolve known issues and apply the latest security patches.
