WhatsApp Has A New HD Video Sending Option

WhatsApp is lengthening its limitation of HD quality with its latest update, which offers the facility of sending the videos in HD resolution. The brand rolled out this latest update on both Android and iOS devices. Previously, it enabled the same option of high-resolution images with less compression.

This feature will surely improve the user’s experience while sending high-resolution videos. With this new update, the users get the eligibility to send HD videos, similar to Photos, which began last week.

What’s New?

With this new update, the app provides a new option named HD quality. Its choice is for videos. Now, the users, while sharing the videos, can choose a better quality. The default option will always be available for any videos that are “Standard quality”, which means the users have to select the HD quality option every time they want to share a new video with improved and enhanced quality.

With the HD quality option, the users can send their videos in 720p resolution. In contrast, the Standard quality option can send in a 480p solution, which is far less compared to HD quality.

How To Use –

The users who want to share their videos with HD Quality facility with their friends or family members can follow the steps mentioned here;

  1. Choose a Video from the gallery as per your choice.
  2. At the top, tap on the HD icon.
  3. Then, Media Quality pop-up menu will appear.
  4. Choose the HD Quality option.
  5. Tap on Done.

Once you are done sending the HD-quality video, it will be marked as a high-resolution video, so a new tag will automatically be added to the message bubble.
