Google’s services have always ensured the most significant yet convenient user experience while also introducing one or other changes within its products. In a similar series, Google’s best cloud storage product, Google Drive, is now rolling out new search filters, which will aim to offer users a much faster search experience on Android phones.
First spotted by Android police, several users have begun receiving the new search filters within their Google Drive. These filters allow you to find all your documents using the search bar. Users will also have the flexibility to separate the content by some specific filters, including File Type, People, and Last Modified.

With that, each filter has its specific work- the File Type filter includes Spreadsheets, presentations, Forms, photos and videos, documents, PDFs, shortcuts, folders, audios, drawings and archives; the next is People, which allows users to include the original file owner or any person who was tagged earlier in a file or a document, and finally, the Last Modified filter, provides you with the details when your file was last modified while also choosing from several options, including Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, this year, last year, or any specific custom date or period.
Through these search filters within Google Drive, users will be able to get the right file on the go without the inconvenience of finding them among other stored files, as Google Drive can easily determine which file will fall into which filter category. Meanwhile, for broader search results and refined selections, users will be able to combine new filters.
Moreover, the new search filters functionality within Google Drive is now available on all Android phone users running the latest 2.24.147.0 build version, having personal Google accounts and Google Workspace accounts.
