Google Photos New Video Editing Feature: Here’s How To Use It

Google Photos is the most popularly used gallery application on every Android device. Google Photos works exceptionally well on Android with an impressive cloud storage option, editing features, and more. Along with offering these incredible features, Google has recently introduced a new video editing tool for its Photos application, which allows users to add different types of effects to their videos.

The new video editing feature allows users to edit their videos by adding various special effects to give them a more attractive look. Google has introduced the new Effects feature with 12 new video effects options. These include Dust Mix, B&W Film, Paper Tear, Lomo, Light Leak, Film Mode, Chromatic, Fish Eye, Vintage, layouts, Retro Film, and Poster. From which you can choose either of them as you want your video to look like.

In addition to adding a new video effects feature, it offers various other features such as photo and video editing, search for your favourite images in the search option, scanning your photos with the pictures can feature, you can create your albums and memories and also easily share them with your friends and family. 

Moreover, Google has also reconstructed its media playback controls which are now easier to use. It has added a new playback button; now, users will be able to skip, forward or backwards a video instead of having only a play or pause button. 

How to use Video Effects features on Google Photos?

To use the new Video editing tool in your Photos application, there are some steps you need to follow, which are listed below:

  • Open Google Photos on your Android.
  • Select any video which you want to edit.
  • Tap on the Edit icon.
  • Now Swipe towards your left and tap on the Effects icon.
  • You will see various effects options; pick any of them for your video.
  • And you are done.
