US Variants Of Galaxy S20 FE 5G Gets September 2023 Update

Samsung had previously released the September 2023 security update for the European variants of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G. The company has also released a new security update for carrier-locked and factory-unlocked versions of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in the US.

The latest software update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S20 FE has firmware version G781VSQSBHWHA, and it is rolling out on Verizon in the US. More carriers could release the new update within the next few days. The factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy S20 FE for the US market comes with firmware version G781U1UESDGWI2

What’s New:

According to Samsung, the September 2023 security patch fixes 4 critical, 19 high-level CVEs, and no medium-level CVEs. However, the 8 CVEs do not apply to Samsung devices.

How To Update:

If you have a Galaxy S20 FE 5G and live in the US, you can now check for the new update. You can do this by going to Settings >> Software Update and tapping on Download and Install.

 Galaxy S20 FE 5G One UI 6.0: 

In the second half of 2020, Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE 5G with Android 10. The phone received an Android 11 update in late 2020 and an Android 12 update in late 2021 and is currently running on Android 13-based One UI 5.1. Hence, the Galaxy S20 FE series will not receive the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update.
