Samsung’s One UI 6.1 Update Brings Galaxy AI to More Devices

Among all the other custom Android skins available on the market, Samsung has the most intuitive and feature-packed custom Android skin, the One UI. The brand has incorporated several impressive and customizable features, bringing the best out of every capability. With that, Samsung has been taking its most advanced One UI experience to the next level with the introduction of the latest and next iteration of its One UI update, One UI 6.1. Enhancing the overall experience of the Galaxy models, Samsung is all set with its latest One UI 6.1 update, which is astonishing, as this time it’s AI-powered!

This time, the latest One UI 6.1 update has been packed with several AI features, which is a major upgrade in itself. This will allow you to get all the latest functionalities and is going to change your overall mobile experience. Although the new One UI 6.1 update has arrived with the latest Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup, Samsung has not begun to roll out the latest One UI 6.1 update to its eligible Galaxy models as of now. Simultaneously, the brand will soon begin the rollout process for other eligible models by the end of this month.

Specifically, Samsung has officially claimed earlier that the new One UI 6.1 update will arrive on some eligible Galaxy devices; however, the inclusion of the AI features on those devices is still a mystery, and it’s unclear whether Samsung will include the AI features on all the other eligible devices that are being updated to the latest One UI 6.1 update. Simultaneously, a source leaked the information that the new Galaxy AI features are expected to be included within the older device, including the Samsung Galaxy S22, but no more devices below the S22 lineup will receive the latest AI features.

Samsung Galaxy One UI 6.1: AI Features

Samsung has introduced some of the best AI features with the latest One UI 6.1 update that has arrived with the current Galaxy S24 lineup, out of the box, including the Circle to Search, Chat Assist, Live Translate, Voice Recorder Transcript, AI for Samsung Notes, and Samsung Photos Generative AI, respectively.

Circle to Search: Through this AI feature introduced by Google, you will be able to search for everything and anything by circling, highlighting, scribbling, or just tapping over the object in the video or a photo, and you will receive all the relevant information related to that object without switching apps that you are currently using.

Chat Assist: This tool allows you to provide input regarding what you are trying to say into the Chat Assist; it will get optimized automatically in your tone and will convey your desired message.

Live Translate: It’s basically a live translator that allows you to translate conversations into your native language without any inconvenience. With Live Translate, all your live conversations with an individual speaking another language will be analyzed, and then they will be automatically translated into your desired language, allowing you to understand every message the person is trying to convey.

Voice Recorder Transcript: Samsung has added a new auto-transcription feature to the voice recordings. While recording any conference meetings or important conversations, the new transcription tool will automatically transcribe your voice recordings for your convenience.

AI summaries for Notes/Note Assist: Samsung Notes gets a new AI summary, which automatically summarizes your large documents written on the notes without requiring you to read the whole document. This will significantly enhance your note-taking experience.

Samsung Photos gets generative AI/creative editing: On your Photos app, you will now get several editing suggestions in order to make your pictures look elegant and beautiful. The generative AI will give you several editing recommendations by analyzing your pictures with all its convenience.
