How To Use Samsung Wireless Powershare Charging Feature On Galaxy Devices?

While traveling to a planned destination along with friends, charging smartphones can be a daunting task as we can’t easily find a socket or something like that to charge our phone when the battery is about to drain. Fortunately, Samsung has a perfect solution in order to deal with such situations. The brand has introduced a new Wireless Powershare feature for its Galaxy devices, allowing users to share the battery power with other Galaxy devices that support the Powershare feature.

Samsung Wireless Powershare feature

The Samsung Wireless Powershare feature lets users use their Galaxy device to charge other devices that are compatible with this feature, including Galaxy Watch, Buds, and other Galaxy smartphones. Most of the Galaxy flagship devices have this feature, allowing device-to-device charging without requiring a charger or cable. In addition, you can easily charge your phone normally, even when it’s using the Wireless Powershare feature to charge another device.

However, in order to use the Wireless Powershare feature, your phone must be at least 30% charged. In case your device’s battery is below 30%, then you will not be able to use this feature. Plus, the Wireless Powershare feature might not work with certain accessories, covers, and other brand devices and some Samsung Wearables.

In order to use the Wireless Powershare feature on your Galaxy device, you can follow the simple steps mentioned below. The Wireless Powershare feature can be used in two different ways, namely, the first way is by navigating the device’s Settings app, and the other one is through Quick Settings. Here’s how:

Through the Settings app
  1. Go to the settings app on your Galaxy device.
  2. Find and tap on the Device Care option.
  3. Next, Tap on Battery.
  4. Finally, please tap on the Wireless Powershare and toggle to turn it on.
Through Quick Settings
  1. Make sure that the phone you are using as a charger is charged up to 30%.
  2. Swipe down from the top using two fingers to open Quick settings.
  3. Now, search and click on the Wireless Power Share icon to activate it.
  4. Then, place the phone you are using as a charger and the phone you want to charge back-to-back.
  5. To stop charging, just separate the two devices. The Wireless Power Share will automatically get deactivated after 60 seconds when no other device is detected.
