Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Might Be A Bit Expensive For Some Brands: Report

Although the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is powering most of the absolutely blazing smartphones, there is no doubt that Qualcomm worked hard to make great chipsets. The company releases a new chipset over time that can make the phone more powerful. It is obvious that the company will relaunch a new chip in 2024 next year, which will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. But its cost may increase.

Suppose the reports are to be believed, according to Digital Chat Station. In that case, the latest upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 may be slightly more expensive than the previous chipset.

If we talk about Samsung’s newest flagship device, which is pretty expensive, it may be because of the higher cost of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Meanwhile, it is rumoured that Qualcomm, this time, literally set the bar high, due to which few Android manufacturers are looking at other ways for 2024 launches.

It is also in discussion that some other manufacturers are setting up to bring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 into service instead of Qualcomm’s latest upcoming chipset. On the other hand, others are looking forward to using MediaTek chips. And if Android companies choose MediaTek’s chips, then the price of smartphones can fall.

It is also leaked by DCS that the MediaTek Dimensity 9300, the participant to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, may be launched in October with four Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores alongside the latest Immortalis GPU and hold up for up to 9.6Gbps LPDDR5T RAM.

It is expected that Qualcomm will be ready to announce its latest upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in October. But because of the recent tragedy caused by wildfires in Maui, the event might have likely been delayed or migrated.
