Gmail Could Soon Introduce “Select All” Button For Deleting Bundles Of Emails

Gmail application, the most known personal email service, offers the best Gmail to Android smartphones or tablets with powerfully built security, real-time notifications, multiple account support, and search, which works across all the user’s mail. The statistics say there are almost 4.1 billion active users worldwide.

Google has already given it a lot of features, and now another new feature will be added to it. Yes! With the future update, Gmail could receive a “Select all button,” which helps users bulk-deleting emails.

Gmail’s Android app provides approximately all the functionalities available on the web version. Android users have support for multiple inboxes, switching accounts, assigning a label, and many more. However, the noticeable backdraw of the app on Android devices is that selecting all emails on Gmail is impossible. Fortunately, Google is preparing to add Select all functionality to Gmail on the Android app.

This is speculated because a tipster @AssembleDebug spotted the Select All button in the latest Gmail 2023.08.20.561750975.Release. The Select All option will appear when the users click one email in the app. After that, users can archive, snooze, mute as read or unread emails, and so on.

However, Gmail limits the number of emails fetched from its servers to 50%. Due to this, clicking on Select All will highlight the first 50 emails in the user’s inbox. Also, the users can tap on the button again to select another 50 conversations. Whereas clicking the Deselect All button will clear all 100+ highlighted emails. Apart from the limitation of 50 conversations, the Select All button will offer more ease to the users. Due to that, they can easily quickly make bulk actions easier, especially in the scenario where users receive bundles of emails every day.

Unfortunately, there is no confirmation yet when this new convenient Select All option will be available in Gmail. But it is good to know that Google is working on this feature, and hopefully will soon be available in future updates.
